TAP is the “Best Airline in Europe” and was honoured with the respective award in Los Angeles this morning. A few hours earlier, the airline was also recognised as “World’s Leading Airline to South America” in New Delhi. These awards – two of the most important in the travel and tourism industry – recognise TAP’s prestige and international reputation.
The title “Best Airline in Europe” awarded by the US magazine Global Traveler, is the result of a survey of more than 25,000 registered votes made by the magazine’s readers, a very demanding public that makes frequent international trips.
The award reflects TAP’s performance in the competitive North American market, particularly the work the airline has done in the corporate segment, recognising the high quality of the TAP product and the potential of the airline’s Lisbon hub as a strategic platform for connections between North America and Europe.
At virtually the same time, TAP was voted “World’s Leading Airline to South America” during the grand finale of the World Travel Awards, which are considered the “Oscars” of world tourism. These awards highlight the world’s best brands in travel and tourism and are the result of a vote among industry professionals.
The awards confirm TAP’s leadership in South America, fruit of the airline’s extensive work over the years, especially in Brazil, one of the fastest growing markets in the world and where TAP is the unquestionable leader.
