2013-12-26 TAP Special Operation to Bissau via Dakar ends December 2013

TAP suspended its normal operation for Guinea-Bissau after the forced departure at Bissau airport, on December 10th, where 74 passengers with fake documents boarded. During Holliday season, the airline decided to temporarily promote extra flights between Lisbon and Dakar, chartering a Senegal Airlines plane to carry passengers between the capital of Senegal and Bissau.

However, the contract with Senegalese airline will end with the flight that will depart from Lisbon on Monday, December 30th, returning on Tuesday morning, which is why TAP will stop operation from Lisbon to Bissau with stopover in Dakar. Passengers with reservations Lisbon / Bissau / Lisbon beyond the 1st of January will be contacted TAP services or their travel agents.

TAP flights between Lisbon and Bissau will be reassessed as soon as there are guarantees that operation will be done under normal security conditions.
