Manchester will have daily flight in October 

TAP is to step up links between Portugal and the United Kingdom in October by increasing the number of flights between Lisbon and Manchester from five a week to one a day.

In winter 2012, TAP will increase the number of weekly flights between Portugal and the United Kingdom from 72 to 74. There will be 46 flights a week from Lisbon to London, 14 from Porto to London, seven from Funchal to London and seven from Lisbon to Manchester.

Launched in June 2011, the load factor on the TAP direct Lisbon – Manchester route have been high, rising to 84 per cent in July (up to 25 July).

In the first 12 months of operations, TAP has carried more than 48 thousand passengers between Lisbon and Manchester.
