TAP Creative Launch: the future of flying is now being written.
The winning design in the business ideas competition launched by TAP in partnership with Startup Lisboa is called Waynabox and offers an ‘air interrail’ across Europe. Have you got a free weekend and want to make a trip in Europe? You don’t know where to go and you don’t have the time to look for somewhere to stay, but you’re sure of one thing: you don’t want to spend more than 150 euros. Don’t worry, Waynabox has the solution!
This Spanish startup, winner of the TAP Creative Launch award, is an app that sells travel experiences at a fixed price, including accommodation and flight, but with a very interesting feature: the destination is a surprise! The passenger only finds out two days before travelling which European city they will be landing at.
Waynabox has already been launched in Spain, and has attracted thousands of customers in a short space of time. Now it intends to make a difference to travel in Portugal.
Waynabox was in competition with 9 other projects: “Aerogel”, “Tic Tac Ticket”, “Virtual Phobia”, “Job is in the air”, “Lisbon Tea Company”, “BactEra”, “Flybox”, “Pass Tag” and “TAP way find app”.
As well as Startup Lisboa, TAP was also grateful for the support of a number of partner companies in this initiative who are equally as committed to innovation: ANA and VINCI Airports, Google, Microsoft, Airbus, Sage, Fidelidade, Faber Ventures and The Edge Group.
